FAQs
What are your opening hours?
We are currently open seven days a week, although we often have private functions where we may be closed for extended periods.
Monday alternates between Smash Ultimate and Pokémon Champions.
Tuesday is currently I AM ARCADE, our weekly fighting game event with a focus on SF6.
Wednesday is Overwatch 5v5.
Thursday is usually Magic The Gathering, with tables available for either commander or drafting.
Friday is both League of Legends 5v5 and Karaoke.
Saturday is usually a monthly event, or a one-off special event.
Sunday we are currently closed.
These hours can vary due to special events, so please keep an eye on the socials or contact us directly if you’d like hours confirmed. Please check the event page for all the information about what’s on!
Are children allowed in the venue?
Unfortunately we do not allow anyone under 18 in the venue due to the bar/pub style environment we maintain. If you are looking for other options in the area, you can find New Meta Arena up at Angel, or Loading Bar towards Stoke Newington. Other options which are more family oriented are Four Quarters, Escape Bar or Side Quest Hub.
Do you take bookings for birthdays and celebrations?
Feel free to complete the contact form and we can get back to you. We can accommodate groups of 60 or more and can arrange food for you too. Prices do vary based on your needs, the time of the week, any conflicting events and whether or not the venue is privatized. Just reach out and we can sort something out!
What equipment do you have?
We usually have a Switch, PS5 and five PCs available. During tournaments and events we may hire PCs to increase the number of setups, so we can provide more as needed. On Mondays and Tuesdays our selection may be limited due to our weekly events on those days. If you’re unsure just reach out and ask!
In terms of general availability, you can usually play on a PC on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. PCs are not available on Smash Ultimate event days, I AM ARCADE event days, or during the Overwatch 5v5.
What size is the venue?
Our space is approximately 700sqft with a small outside space and stage area. Maximum occupancy is 80 standing, or 60 with seating. The space can be reconfigured easily depending on your needs.
Do you serve food at Meltdown?
We are currently partnered with Yard Sale pizza up at Chapel Market! You’re able to scan the QR code on the menus and pizza will be delivered to the bar. Yard Sale pizza can be consumed within the venue, but no other food can be brought in.
